The Impact Innovation Summit is a call to action for entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and anyone passionate about the future of Jamaicans. By participating in this event, you can contribute to building a more innovative and prosperous nation.
This year, our thematic focus will be on "financial inclusion through technology," offering a unique opportunity to delve into solutions that empower local communities and drive economic growth. In this year's Challenge Lab, we will address this problem in a collaborative, creative process, resulting in tangible, measurable, and scalable impact in the coming year. Participants will have access to market insights, current challenges with widespread adoption, direct access to users and stakeholders for rapid validation for solutions.
The Problem:
Develop a financially inclusive solution that enables micro-business owners in Montego Bay to accept digital payments, overcoming barriers such as a cash-based culture, mistrust of financial institutions, low financial literacy, and stringent requirements for opening merchant accounts. The solution should contribute to the economic development of the community and the nation.
The Impact Model
What sets this Summit apart is our results-based approach. We won't just discuss ideas; we'll co-create innovative solutions to be actioned through collaborative efforts. Our goal is to establish a platform for the development of high impact ventures with the potential to deliver market-creating innovations at scale with notable financial, social, and environmental impact.
